I am so cute!!!

I am so cute! What do you think? Mommy and daddy love me so much and they think I am very cute. They even say I am so cute they want to eat me. I don't think that would be possible, but we will let them think whatever they want to think. I am almost a month old now and I am growing so fast. I am awake more during the day, which is good because mommy gets to play with me more. I am starting to look in the mirror at myself and kind of smile. Mommy is getting a little nervous because daddy is going out of town all next week. She is going to be busy taking care of me and working on her graduate class. I will try to be good for her. I hope all is well with everyone. Talk to you soon.

Almost a month old!!!!

Happy Belated Birthday Ellie. Hope you enjoyed your present and your dad did not take half. Ha. Cousin Drew loves you and so do we.

Bath Time

Splish Splash I love the bath. I initially cry, but once I get water put on me I love it. I usually pee all over the tub or mommy, but I think that is a boy thing. Last week mommy and I both went to the Dr. Mommy is now only taking a couple of medications, but her blood pressure is still really high. She will continue to take that medication until she sees Dr. Ferrer in 3.5 weeks because the dr. said if she doesn't continue to take the medication, she could have a stroke. As for me, I am still sleeping all the time, but usually more during the day and not so much at night. I have been a little fussy because I have been trying to figure out which formula I like. I went to the Dr. on Friday and I weighed 8 pounds, but I shrank. I was only 19 3/4. At birth I was 20 inches, but my head was REALLY big. The Dr. said all is well and I don't have to see him until I am 2 months old in which I have to get shots. Mommy said grandma Mauer is taking me to the Dr. because she doesn't want to see me get shots and she will be back at work. I am fianlly waking up for the day (1:05 p.m) so we have to go.

House Progress

The windows are in the house and the basement floor was FINALLY poured. They will be pouring the concrete for the garage in the next couple of weeks (if we are lucky). It has been extremely muddy so I have not been in the house since before Drew was born. Andrew says that it looks great so I am taking his word for it. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I will be able to get into the house and actually take pictures of the inside.

Drew Thomas

Drew is now a little over a week old and doing great. This adorable outfit came from Grandma Meyers. It is so cute huh? My mommy loves to dress me in all of my new outfits, but I am still so small that I don't fit into very many of them. I am a pretty good sleeper once I get to sleep, but sometimes I make lots of noises why I sleep which keeps mommy and daddy up at night. I go to the Doctor this Friday for my 2 week check-up and I am pretty sure that I have gained lots of weight. I guess we will see on Friday. We have had lots of visitors in the past week and I love to have them hold me and squeeze me. I hope all is well with everyone and hope you come visit me soon.

Peetee has arrived!

Well, Peetee has arrived and made it very difficult for us to adjust to his new name. Don't worry if you still call him Peetee, so do we. His official name is Drew Thomas Meyers. He was born Friday, December 28, 2007 at 6:10 via C-Section. His mommy worked very hard, but Drew decided he wanted to come sunny side up and put mommy in back labor. (Most horrific pain ever!) Since he was stuck they rushed us to the C-section and within a short amount of time he arrived. I know it seems really easy. It's not! The recovery sucks! We were in the hospital from Thursday-Monday and then I actually begged to come home. He is a little jaundice so we had to stay and wait to see if they would let him go home. Drew baked in the sun for 2.5 hours in the hospital window and he ended up being okay, but then mommy's blood pressure was really high. To make the story short, we were sent home and mommy is on 7 different kinds of medication, including one that makes her feel very drunk all the time due to her pregnancy induced hypertension. Trust me this drunk is not fun either. Basically someone has to be with me at all times because it is a potent drug and makes my heart slow down. Hopefully, when I see the doc next week all will be better and I can come off that drug. Andrew has been a wonderful husband and father. He even watched the C-section and didn't faint. Andrew goes back to work tomorrow (Wednesday) and I will be with Drew by myself. Thank God for grandmas, grandpas, and friends!
